My boyfriend had been told he could see his 3 year old son after getting out of the RC, which whom he's extremely close to/attached. A little after being out, couple days. After he had told his son prior to getting out that he was now going to finally be able to see him more and be back in his life his P.O told him he couldn't see him until the whole 2 years of probation was over. He can't see him or his younger little boy that was just born and hasn't even been able to meet him. All this has him very upset and of course his little boy is so confused and sad it's affecting him in many ways. Does anyone know if there's anyway possible to over ride that and allow him to see his son.

If your friend was released from prison, jail, or rehab he must obey the instructions of his probation officer or parole agent.

He might be allowed to use a computer one week, and told he can't use a computer the next week.
It may seem arbitrary, but until he is released from probation or parole he must do EXACTLY as instructed.

Should he fail to obey the orders of his PO, he'll probably wind up back from where he came.

No, he behaves himself, doesn't question directions he's given doing EXACTLY as told, or he will be locked away AGAIN.

If you care about him, you should encourage him to do as told, and not argue or question his PO.

Probation is another form of incarceration, he isn't free the way you are free.

We obviously have no way of knowing the conditions of this criminal's probation. He needs to read the relevant documents and discuss any questions he has with his attorney.

Every probation conditions are different. In a month, his PO could change his mind. Tell him to do everything his PO tells him to do, behave and he might get to see his kids.

Maybe this will cause him to think twice before he does something stupid to put him in jail...

Your only hope is to go back to the original sentencing judge and get an order allowing visitation or custody. My PO told me I couldnt be around my kid so we went before the judge and got a signed order with the blessing of the prosecutor
