Can I sue a apartment complex when I have problems with environmental safety issues and repairs not completed when sent to management. I've lived in the apartment 15 months, paid my rent on time. When I requested repairs to be done or be relocated to a different unit because it was a causing a health hazard, I was told I complain to much and they would let me out of my lease, but not move me to a new unit.

Anybody can sue anybody for anything but whether you have a chance of winning depends on the answers to the following.

I have problems with environmental safety issues

What problems? Be specific.

repairs not completed when sent to management

What is it that needs repair? Be specific.

because it was a causing a health hazard

How was it causing a health hazard?
What are your symptoms?
Have you obtained any medical treatment?

Again, be specific.

Answer all my questions and we'll see if there are any remedies available to you.

Continued mold, sewer gas leak, dead animal in wall, electrical and plumbing not working correctly. This started in February 2018 when I moved into my apartment. I've been to the Dr. and emergency room. The symptoms were, sore throat, runny nose, watery eyes, difficulty breathing, diarreah, vomiting, severe headache. I reported these issues as required in my lease and requested another apartment. I was told that all the apartments were rented. I contacted a leasing company who referred me back to the complex I live in. The leasing company said they had several apartments available. When I asked the manager of the apartment I live if this was true, tge manager said yes. The manager said she would not put me in another apartment because I complain to much, when I was only reporting what my lease required me to do when repairs needed to be made.

Can I sue a apartment complex

No. You can sue the owner. You can sue the resident manager. You can sue anyone you like, but you cannot sue an apartment complex.

I was told . . . they would let me out of my lease

Ok...problem solved. Right?

I've lived in the apartment 15 months

in February 2018 when I moved into my apartment.

Please clarify which of these two statements is right and which is wrong.

Thank you kindly for your information. This issue is so involved with medical issues, hospital and Dr visit's, etc. I have found a attorney to take the case. I have supported documents.

I have found a attorney to take the case.

Excellent news for you, also smart choice.

From this point forward speak to no one about any aspect of your case, EXCEPT your attorney.

Best of luck to you as you fight for your rights.

Your lease likely outlines a specific procedure to follow when reporting damages or maintenance issues. Odds are that you have not followed it.
Look at your lease and learn the proper procedure.
Personally, I believe any legal action without following the procedure in your lease first is a waste.
