My neighbor continues to mow grass on pathway that is deeded to me. I've tried to explain to neighbor that it is showing it is my property but he just continues to ignore everything. He continues to say he owns the property because he has always mowed it. Can I fence him out or do I need to get a lawyer?

If its your property, of course you can place a fence to secure your land.

The neighbor isn't required to listen to you anymore than you are to him. Which is why it's never a good idea to instruct others. It's better to show them, if you're in the right, build your wall.

Is there a problem with him mowing it even if it is your property?

Only problem I have is him trying to claim property as his because he is mowing it. Said it to my face and I gave him my two cents.

If it's your property - it's your property. Just because he mows it or says it is his doesn't make it so.

Ok. Thanks. I guess I'll try to start over fresh with the neighbor. The thing that has me worked up is neighbor actually waved me down to stop and told me I was on his property when I tried to show him the paperwork he said he was just going to have to sue me... Just a rubbed me the wrong way.. But I'll make an attempt to just forget it ever happened. Maybe he is ready to apologize?

I would not Hold my breath, for an apology, but I would move on as U seem to be doing!

we have come to an agreement that neighbor can mow and I can still drive through with my pickup. The whole issue was neighbor didn't want me driving through since the pathway was next to his house. Told me I was driving through on purpose to get under his skin. So I told him it's my property. I can drive through here once a day or thousand times a day. Of course he didn't like that and pointed the middle finger at me. I said look we can argue until we both turn blue in the face or we can come to an agreement. What is your concern with me using my property to drive through. I recorded him with my cell and he said he has been living there for over 60 years and no one has ever drove through like I did. So I just told him I'd limit the amount of times I drive through.
