What is the law in PA concerning garnishment of a bank account? If a credit card company sues you, gets a judgement against you, and then goes after your bank account, can they set up reoccuing deductions or will they need to get a new judgement each time? Basically, will the court order that x amount be removed every pay day or just a one time seizure unless the credit card company sues again?

Thank you

Did they freeze the account? If it's against your wages then it continues until the debt is paid off. It obviously wouldn't make sense to get a court order every time for the same issue. Every pay day a certain percentage is withheld.

In PA wage garnishment is not allowed, so their only other option would be to go after my bank account which has no money in it except for a few hours every other Friday. I was wondering if the courts will allow them to take a certain amount out of my bank account every payday.
