I pay CS for 2 sons who live with my x wife until they graduate from College . My 20 yr old son( Jr in college) landed an internship close to my house and decided he wanted to live permanently with me going forward. Does a simple modification at the court house get the child support cut in half or do I need an attorney ?

You ought to be able to do it without any attorney.

If you and your ex agree to the change you can file a joint petition:

If your ex won't cooperate, you'll have to file your own complaint for modification:

Here are the "how to" pages that I found by googling:

Changing a Child Support Order - MassLegalHelp

How do I change a child support order? - MassLegalHelp

That's where the forms came from.
