publication of private information of the elderly

hi is it against any law to maliciously, or otherwise, post the phone numbers and home addresses of a man and woman in their late eighties along with their tax records about their home? can that fit under any lawsuit or cease and desist order? We will be hiring and attorney tomorrow or monday but your advise in the meantime would be very much appreciated. thank you. btw these people do not even know how to use a computer. one cannot even drive any more.

I believe those tax records are public information. I'm not so sure you have a good argument to make. Their age has nothing to do with it. However, you could simply ask that the information be removed, even though there is not necessarily and wrongdoing going on.

How do you mean "maliciously" post?

If it is to purposefully cause harm or damages then there may be a problem here
