Incorrect statute code

Hi, I just received a ticket for "excessive noise due to squeeling tires" is what was written on the ticket. The Statute Code that was cited was RCW 173.62.030. This RCW does not exist, what should have been cited was WAC 173.62.030, not RCW. Does this error do anything for me?

Probably not, the ticket can be ammended to correct errors.

Yeah, cops are notoriously ignorant of the law. Someone (not the cop) will fix their ubiquitous errors before you get to court with it.

Lovely, eh? So much for accountability. The cop could've charged you with some random crap statute he pulled out of his rear end and they can fix it to say whatever they want to later before it goes to court.

Ticket was dismissed

Just to let you guys know...my motion to dismiss the citation was granted. I motioned to dismiss based on the sited statute being non-existent, therefore I could not be guilty. It was granted and home I went.
