My friend is currently going through a divorce his wife moved back to michigan the end of last month and he asked me to help him out with money so I moved in. Recently I have been getting a string of emails from her friends degrading me and attacking me because they believe him and I are together. His wife has called him and told him she knows my myspace and facebook and went as far as to disguise herself and add me on myspace in which she stole a bunch of pictures as well as my status updates to use against him in the divorce (none of which are incriminating or showing we are together). I blocked both her friends and he called her as well telling her he was going to press charges if this continued. Is there anything I can do if they continue? She lives in michigan and so do her friends while him and i live in az.

If I were you, I'd complain to the social site's administrators.

If that failed to satisfy me, I'd simply take down or close my page, until these idiots disappear.

There are few legal remedies available to identify and prosecute these varmints.

dern it! Can it be brought up in his divorce as harrassment? I know it said something about it in his papers.

Whatever was done, wasn't done to him.

You're not a party to the divorce.

I don't see how.

A friend of mine was in a similar predicament for constant harassment on her Multiply account. She sent an email to Multiply with her complains and the site terminated the accounts of these bullies. But after a week, it still continued on and this time they were new accounts and they are of different IP's. I also said to my friend to just close her account as the site admin can't keep track of these dummy accounts especially if they use proxies every time their accounts get deleted.
