I recently had an account with adultfriendfinder an adult dating network site. I setup my account with my credit card and gave my information. When contacting a couple about meeting up, I gave them pictures that were not of me.I did not post pictures on my profile though. They were sent through the messenger of the site. I did use my real name and gave them my real number so we could meet in public. She searched my number and look online and saw who I was on the internet. I said here are my pics in the message and asked if they would like to meet. Is this illegal? She accused me of identity theft and fraud. The picture that I used was one that I took myself and it was not copyrighted. Did I do anything illegal?

First of all, take a deep breath and relax. Second, tell her to go take a hike.

Now let's dissect this a bit. You have not committed any crimes. There was no identity theft. Also, you technically are the copyright holder of the picts. You don't have to register a picture to hold a copyright. If you took the picture you have the rights. Now it could get complicated proving that in court, but that's irrelevant anyway in this case.

There's only two possibilities here. Either A - she is bluffing you, or B she really believes this crap she's feeding you. So I would bet on B and tell her that what she has done is harassment and stalking, and she has violated federal statutes, and if she ever contacts you again YOU will contact the FBI. Tell her that since it's over the internet, it's a federal crime. In reality, it probably wouldn't end up as much of a case, and it's really a good deal of hot air, but if she believes that what she's saying is true, then by you telling her this, it should scare the crap out of her enough to leave you alone for good.

I am just scared when she started coming at me with all of it. It became over whelming. She started asking for my real age with the other stuff also. On my profile it had me listed as being 30 but I am only 23 but people say I look older cus I am balding. I cant get in any trouble right?

I suppose by now more than 30 seconds have passed and the FBI has not come knocking, right?
No worries, they won't.
Her entreaty amd demand to send nude pictures of yourself could get her into trouble.
At this point, however, I'd cancel my subscription and avoid those sites.
You never who or what you might meet in real life.
'She', might have been 'he' after all.
Think safety first and not that 'other' stuff.
The internet can be a very dangerous place.

Oh God.

Do you really believe that you are the first person that lied on the internet?

Here...

If it makes you feel better, I am a 15 year old East German girl named Anna.

See, didn't hurt a bit.

having said that... if you stop lying, you won't have these worries... and people won't be shocked by the person that shows up.

A sign of maturity is the ability to appreciate yourself for, well, yourself.
