Is there a possibility to apply (with chances of getting it) for a greencard (besides the lottery) on my own without the support of the employer?

I will double check with the Mex and German embassy.
From your answer I understand the baby will be able to have 3 passports and has to decide on the citizenship with 18.
We (Mexican Mother and German Father) are living in Texas, US and will have our baby born in the US.
If so, I assume the baby will be American citizen. Will it have in parallel the German and Mexican citizenship? For how long?
Any legal advise on the situation?
