Can a pro se litigant testify concerning his court experience? For instance, if I can testify from the stand that I personally filed a lawsuit, can I also make references to other documents that i have drafted and filed?

I have an affidavit already on file with the court, is it acceptable for me to read portions of that when I am answering a questions if I acknowledge I am quoting from an affidavit I filed?
Where there are two pro se plaintiffs. The plan is each will do direct examination of the other to get the evidence admitted. Is it allowable for the person on the stand to have notes or memos to refer to in answering questions?
