Thanks for the advice Jacksgal.

I'm aware that the father would have custody of his son and I would not fight him in court over the issue. It was just a request of the mother, that's all. The father is a clot on society but he is a good father. Either way, I still want to be legally made both of the childrens aunt.

I have a niece and nephew who are not my blood relatives. My niece is the daughter of my bestfriend of 21 years and my nephew is a co-workers/very close friend from of the past 4 years. I take these children every where: doctor appointments, fieldtrips, sleep overs, etc. I buy them everything...
