I think my best option is to plead not guilty and get a public defender to make a deal with the prosecutor in order to avoid a theft conviction

They dident make us talk at all they just asked are address phone numbers stuff like that took pictures of us and gave us a court date

My friend also got caught with me except he's 19 and has no criminal record what kind of consequences can he expect?
