    also, what can i expect in court? is it just going to be me and a judge or is it similar to courts like when you get a speeding ticket?

    I got charged for theft under 500 dollars...actually it was under 100 dollars. What is the minimum and maximum penalties and what do you think will most likely happen? I don't think I will be hiring any representation either.
