Paperwork was sent to DMV almost 2 full weeks before vehicle was seized but the new title was issued 3 weeks after the seizure, what is your thoughts, legal of not legal?
I had placed the lien on the vehicle as collateral for a loan from a friend. The opposition is stating that it was done illegally as the vehicle was seized by the time DMV recorded the lien. It is my arguement that I am still the owner and the vehicle. I am basically asking is what I did...
Can I transfer the interest in my vehicle by way of a lien while the vehicle is in the custody of the Sheriff? DMV did not have a problem and issued a new title with the lienholder. My arguement is that I am still the owner.
