Well, I went to court, plead not guilty, showed photos that I was on a sidewalk in a shopping center, and they set a court date for 11-November. Yesterday they called me and said case dismissed. I went to the courthouse to get a copy of the case dismissal. The ticket is dismissed...
Thanks......another cop has told me that they could give me a ticket for trespassing if a tenant complained but that has not happened.
I do not know what this cop's problem was at the time. Maybe he thinks I will just send the money in and be a statistic.

Sorry, did not mean to be argumentative. I do appreciate your viewpoint- I just thought that maybe I did not explain myself correctly. I just don't know how they can do it so I will fight it.

The sidewalk next to a street is public property.......not the one 50 feet away from it next to a store..based on the definition of a sidewalk by the State of Texas.... Unless your interpretation of a sidewalk is different than what the law states in which case I would love for you to explain to...
I received a ticket for parking my motorcycle on a sidewalk.
I was in a shopping center, 40-50 ft from the "sidewalk" located next to the street. There were no fire zones, handicapped zones, signs, etc.
