I'm so sorry to hear. Those databases are a bit cruel imo.. Try looking for a new job outside of retail. I signed a letter of restitution and I just started to apply for positions outside of retail and I landed a pretty good job. Try monster.com or careerbuilder.com

Stealing is the intent to benefit from someone else's assets. I just chose an incorrect option in my point of sale menu. I didn't give a hookup to anyone or anything else to benefit my own self. I'd call it violation of company policy over theft. That assumption is just unfair.
This situation sucks. Because I didn't literally steal anything. I just made a bad choice on one transaction. If my name does show up on the database isn't that false accusation and judgement?
Thanks for the ninja edit. What if I had a store manager at my previous job who could vouch for me and put in a good word? He is willing to state my innocence and rehire eligibility if necessary.
