Wrong VIN?

I traded my vehical in for a new one almost two weeks ago; the dealer called today to say that the VIN was wrong and I need to come down to resign. They claim everything will stay the same, including the vehicle, but I don't have a copy of the contract. I read online I should agree only to correct the VIN and initial by the correction on the original contract. I read the original contract, but never thought to check the VIN. Any advice?

Oh, I see, you're one of those foolish people that sign contracts without making sure there's a copy for them to take with them.

Oh well, go in and see what happens. My guess is you'll do whatever the dealer tells you to do.
