My sons father and I share custody 50/50. My new fiance is in the military. What is the liklihood that if he is transferred out of state that I will be able to take my son with me? The cases I've heard of most children have to stay within 50 miles of the father.

Read your EXISTING COURT ORDER.

If the court order is silent on relocation, the child's father can still go to court and seek a clarification to not be denied to remain in the child's life.

Here's Florida statute regarding relocation of a child:

Since you and Dad have 50/50, the court may very well order that Child stay with Dad while you go ahead and move, in order to disrupt the child's life less.
