"A" and "B" enter into a signed agreement. What happens when party "A" breaches the contract forcing party "B" to perform an act that also breaches the contract, then party "A" sues party "B" for his responsibility in the second breach?

I ve been employeed with a major off price retail company. Last year it began where I informed my superior of my subbordinate time & attendance issues. A oral counsel was issued to one of them. in turn the subbordinate wrote BS across the documented counsel. resulting in defacing of comany documents... I informed my immediate supervisor that my actions as to counsel was not the way to gain respect from subbordinate.
I am constantly told, my e-mail correspondence is un-able to be read clearly after being proof read by others members of management. I want to speak to my superior boss. Dont know how to began with out retaliation against me. any advice

My father passed away October 17, 2009. He left a Will in a lockbox in his bank. It was dated in 1998 and it was his wish that my three siblings and I get ownership of his house. His girlfriend at the time the Will was made was named Trustee of the will. I have not been able to contact his ex-girlfriend and he remarried since then. My father made it very clear to me that he did not wish for his current wife to recieve anything at the time of his death-as he wished to eventually divorse her. However, I have spoken to two attorneys and they have told me that it would be better if I didn't try to fight his wife over the property, as she is entitled to a certain amount of his belongings and I would most likely end up with court costs and nothing else. I have tried contacting my step-mother and she refuses to answer the phone or contact me back. She is still residing in my father's house. Is there any way that I can make sure that my father's wishes are honored? Please help me. It will break my heart if I am unable to fufill my father's last wish.

I will make this short. My grandmother died in New Jersey in 1985. My mother and father were divorced when I was 2. My father, whom I never met, remarried and had another son with my same name. I was in the service and was never notified when my grandmother died. I had only met her one time but she told me at the time I was her Junior because my father (also same name as me) had already died. She had quite a bit of property and money. How do I find out who received the money and the property. If she had a will and it contained my name my half brother may have stepped up and said that was him. I have never met him and the day I met my grandmother (in 1973) I called him and he would not talk to me. My questions would be: is there a statue of limitation in New Jersey on inheritance and how do I find out if she had a will or not?

My brother is an elected official in a small upstate NY town. Another elected official in the town sent a personal letter to a constituent in which she conducted town business and which she also made false accusations about my brother both personal and professional in the attempt to get the person to vote for another candidate. The constituent happens to support my brother and gave him the letter. What kind of libel case does he have?

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and received an email from an attorney stating that if I did not retract my complaint they would file a libel lawsuit against me, is this even possible? I did not slander them in any way nor did I make any false statements, do they have grounds for filing a libel lawsuit against just for filing a complaint with the BBB?

James - you may have a lawsuit and the kind that an attorney may take on a contingency fee. You can try our Free case review or click the link on the home page. You can also try our law forums if you feel like you'd want to ask more questions.

Junice - a passport is not a visa and you are confusing the two. I have a valid passport to travel outside the US but it doesn't mean I have already obtained a visa to enter a foreign country.

ahudson - Why did the attorney say you have to do it all over again? The fee for the i-485 form is around $1,000. As I mentioned, try the www.thelaw.com/forums for your immigration law questions, including filling out immigration forms.
