If Lease is in name of Company and individual: Lessor's notice to individual alone ?

IN CA:
1- if 60 days prior to the time of expiration of residential lease, the Lessor sent notice naming individual Lessee alone; is this sufficient and enforceable to move out to Company also?
Lease is in name of Company and also individual.

2-If notice to quit did not specify rent to be paid on hold over, but Lease says it is the same as prior: what would be rent due for the first month after lease expired?

3-What should Lessees check or cover letter state?

4-What to do if Lessor does not cash check?
