My friend used to work for someone in their home and out of nowhere yesterday they told the person that she had stole 25,000 worth of stuff. They fired her and told her that if she does not give the stuff that she supposedly stole back in 2 weeks they were going to turn her in for stealing. If she did not steal anything what can she do? The people she works for have many other people who have access to the house like a chauffer, housekeeper, and babysitter. They also did not pay her for three weeks ago. During Christmas they asked her to do small stuff for her but then told her they were not going to pay her. What can she do about this.
Thanks

They can file charges if they want but it is up to the DA if he/she wants to prosecute. When it goes to the grand jury they must meet to burden of proof to go forward with the case. If the police believe the accuser's story they will most likely get a search warrant to search your friends house. It all depends on how much proof they have.
