Inherited Retirement Benifit Tax

Jurisdiction/Place:

In June 2005 I inherited my mothers retirement benifits , she made me the benificary , after submitting all needed paperwork to NJ Retirement for release of the check in one lump sum , I had the option for them to take out 10% taxes , so I choose for them to do so . All this was outside the estate .

Now being that she lived in NJ and I live in PA is there anything else i need to pay ?

I havent done income taxes in over ten years being that my only income is SS disability.

Did i make a wrong choice by allowing NJ state to that out 10 % of the retirement amount ?

Is there anything else I need to do tax wise or anything else I should be doing ?
