Juveniles aren't convicted of anything.
Juveniles are adjudicated.
Juvenile offenses aren't classified as felonies or misdemeanors.

Juvenile arrest records are in the custody of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
Criminal history records may be sealed (kept confidential) or expunged (destroyed) as governed by Ch. 943, F.S., which is administered by FDLE.

Let's start by asking you to look over this information.

This site explains the expunction process:

Any advice. My son wants to join Marines.

Yes, as a person who served this nation in the army for 30 years, tell your son to get a college education or trade school certification (carpenter, plumber, car mechanic, electrician, chef), or join a union apprenticeship program. If he must serve this nation, the navy, coast guard, or air force offer many more programs where he can use his military education/training in the real world, if after three or four years he no longer wants to be in the armed forces.
