a friend is going through a custody battle with her ex for her three children and they pulled up another couples reports because they are living with the family.
and found that one has a record from 12 years back. the childrens lawyer said that since they are living there and have a record that the mother will not have custody. what can the mother do to up her chances to gain custody?

Well the logical thing for the mother to do would be to find a living arrangement that does not include someone with a problematic record.

The female can do what most people do, obtain a stable living arrangement.
A living arrangement where her children can be safe and secure.
Most people rent an apartment, buy a home, and make sure its in their name.
If her finances are that scandalous, she should work on improving them so she can properly care for her kids.

She can get them out of their current living arrangement with this family.
