My ex-wife and I divorced and she left Birmingham AL to move to Dothan AL and I did not dig my heels in to prevent the move, in order to remain amicable, even though she gave me no notice or opportunity to veto it. She then moved to Savannah GA to pursue a promotion and again with no written notice to give me the opportunity to veto it, and again I did not dig my heels in. Now she informed me that she will be remarrying in less than 30 days to someone in the Army and will be leaving for Germany for three years. Can I stop this move? What can I do?

You've waited a little late. You should have done something when Mom moved to Dothan.

Law schools usually offer clinics for free help, to train the law students.

Samford University also has Cumberland School of Law:

Then, there's the Birmingham School of Law:

Here's a number for the Miles Law School; No information on their website if they offer clinics or such, but the worst they can do is tell you no.

I guess I hoping for something more informative. No offense.

I guess if you want something more informative, you can always run it by a family law attorney.

No offense taken.

I'm sure there are many good AL family lawyers who'd be happy to assist you for about $5,000, maybe $10,000 these days.

Good luck.
