A piece of my jewelry was damaged while I was at work performing a job for work. Is my employer liable for the damage? I know if I were physically injured that would be covered under workers comp but is damage to personal property covered under something? I work in an office environment so this is not a job where you can't wear jewelry.

No. Your employer did not make you wear the jewelry. In fact, generally speaking, based on it being damaged, you might be fired for unsafe work practice.

Agreed.

Very simply, if you don't want your bling to be ruined, don't wear it at work.

Also agree/concur. If you believe your jewelry might be damaged while doing a particular task, take it off.

WC can extend to medical devices which are damaged as a result of a workplace accident, but not jewelry. Your employer is not in any way liable for your personal possessions you voluntarily bring into the workplace.
