I worked for a transportation company in Texas, and I had and accident while driving for the company in the state of Penssylvania
After the accident I find out that the companies insurance did not had coverage for thr driver, I been unemployed since May-2013
becaused of the injuries,a friend told me that workers compensation is something that I can claim, is it true and how can I do it?

If you were driving for work (the co.) when the accident happened, you generally can file a WC claim. You should have told your employer at that time you wanted to file a WC claim. You have up to 3 years to file one in Pa. per my reference. I am attaching a link just for your information - I'm not endorsing the link. You can also contact a lawyer if you need help re filing at this time.

I don't know if you would have qualified for FMLA which is 12 weeks of unpaid job protected leave but it would have expired by now.

Possibly - maybe but maybe not.

txdriver, were you an IC or an employee?
