When my Grandmother passed away, she left my uncle in charge of distributing all her belongings to whoever she wanted them to go to. Her estate was to be sold and my uncle was to get 25%, my mother 20%, her sister 20% and the remaining 35% was to be split between the 11 grandchildren. My uncle put his son in charge of renovating the property to get it ready to sell. We never heard anything from them since the funeral, so my sister made a trip down there to get some of her belongings and was told that my uncle had given everything to good will. Those items were the most impotant to us. No one was even concerned about getting any money out of the estate. We are all so upset over this! And as far as the renovating...the house looks aweful! There are broken windows, the central a/c was torn out and covered any coverings with duct tape. Thetile is all tore up and left laying all over the floors! They filed for compensation out of the estate, for payment of landscaping and renovation. They are also using the 3 car garage as storage for their boats and jet skis. They will not even let us on the property without giving them notice and having them escort us and then they will only let us into certain parts of the house. Is there anything we can do about all this and what would be the best way to go about it? Thank you in advance for any info you can provide me with.
