    Vehicle Title Holder's Rights

I purchased a vehicle, it is registered and insuranced by someone else. Can i take the plates off, give them back to the person who registered it and take the vehicle back without it being considered stolen or against the law?

It depends on who LEGALLY owns the vehicle.

You may have purchased a stolen vehicle.

I suggest you speak to the seller.

You might also want to investigate legal ownership through your state's DMV agency or local police department or state police agency or county sheriff!

I offer useless information. You should seek legal advice ONLY from YOUR lawyer!
