Unpaid speeding ticket 23 years ago

I got a speeding ticket in Maricopa County 23 years ago. 70+ in a 55 - If I recall, it said "mandatory court". I went home to Washington and never got any notice in the mail - I just ignored it.

I'm going to be spending time in Phoenix. Should I be worried that if I'm stopped a warrant might show up? Do they ever age these out of the system? Can I settle this with a check, or would I still need to go to court.

They should age out and get purged.
    But, some live forever.
Call the court and inquire, if you have a FTA warrant.
I'm surprised this hadn't impacted your drivers license renewal.
That may mean the item has been dismissed or purged.
