I'm looking to start an at home business in Pennsylvania. I'm wondering if a LLC is going to protect me from errors and omissions. I'll be providing fire depts. with mapping preplans and hydrant locations. would my personal property be at risk if I was sued for and error or omission.

I run an LLC myself, and it's just that. as long as you keep everything under the LLC you are protected. That includes maps, finances, property, etc. If you don't keep your LLC formed corrently, then you'll be liable.

LLC is basically it's own entity and it protects the owners from losing their property.
