I am just looking for a little advice. I was just contacted yesterday from a small municipality in Ohio. They informed me that I received a speeding ticket there 10 years ago and now they want me to pay it. I honestly do not remember if I got a ticket and if I did I am sure I would have paid it. Rather than arguing the case of whether I got the ticket or not I am more interested in whether the statute of limitations has expired. I cannot imagine that they can come back ten years later and expect me just to pay for it. Can anyone help me?

There is no statute of limitations. When you failed to appear on your court date you were found guilty. Your best option is to just go ahead and pay.
