What is the proper way for my employer to handle my following situation?
On my shift Monday night I worked with pain. Tuesday I went to see my doctor. I was taken off of work for three days with a note. Prior to my injury on Monday, I had requested and was approved vacation which was to begin Wednesday . Obviously being injured my vacation plans were canceled and I am at home in bed. I faxed the note to my supervisor and asked that my vacation time be honored for another time.
It's not being honored and its as if I was never injured at all.
How is this supposed to be handled??
