I have a private career training loan that was sold to Arrow Financial which is apart of SLM Financial which is apart of Sallie Mae... I have requested paperwork at least 6 times now and have never received anything about the loan... I don't know what the payoff amount is, how much I'm supposed to be paying monthly, the interest, anything. The only way I found out information about this is when I call and ask them but how legit something someone tells you on the other end of the phone isn't worth the air used to say it if you ask me. Do I have any legal right to refuse payment until I see paperwork? I have tried to consolidate this loan with my other Sallie Mae loan but haven't been able to. Any help or advice is thanked in advance.

If you signed for a loan, you can't refuse to pay until they give you a copy of paperwork - the same paperwork you're assumed to have since you signed it. You probably will do best dealing with them cordially and getting another copy. Good luck.
