My father and I share a joint checking account. This account was used to purchase personal property. My father died and his will bequested this personal property to his maid. Who is the rightful owner of this property.

Who owned the personal property? If your dad, then it goes to the maid.

There are ways of challenging ownership - arguably, even if he "owned" it, he may have held it in trust for you. If you want to claim the property, you should see an estates lawyer.
