We bought a Timeshare condo in Hawaii from Glen Ivy in 1988. In 1984, a representative with Glen Ivy called and said they had not filed the Deed properly and offered us another property in lieu of our original property. We were not in a financial position to change and start over, to which they said we would lose the property in their receivership dealings. That was the last we heard from anyone involving this property until July, 2007, when we received a letter from a collection agency demanding $15,500. in back HOA dues! We had recieved no communication at all for 13 years, now they (Blue-Green Resorts) will not even take our repeated phone calls. The collection agent is demanding the money. Isn't there a Statute of Limitations on this? I did research the Title and we are listed on the property ownership with Hawaiian records. How do we get our names removed? Help, we don't have this money!
