I just received a notice that a judgement had been entered against me in June of 2004. I know nothing about the judgement. The sherriff's office has ordered a garnishment of my wages. I apparently was sued by a collection agency on behalf of several creditors, most of them medical. The debts were incurred in 2001 and early 2002. I live in Idaho. Is there any way to stop this garnishment. I thought there was a statute of limitations on when a debt can be collected. The suit names both myself and my ex-husband, we were divorced in 2000, but according to the collection agency he has satisfied his portion of the debt. Several of the individual bills are also in the name of Bryana Thurman, my name at the time was Turner. I don't know where they got Thurman. Do I have any recourse here?
