Last month I received a notice form Amazon stating I would receive payment to my checking account in 5 days. The next day I received an e-mail saying they were holding my money pending an investigation. They said I had done nothing wrong and it was standard procedure. They went on to say I should keep selling and filling orders. Which wasn't easy some of these items were very costly to ship.

A week later they e-mailed and said my account was closed and I would have access to my funds in 30 days. Thirty days have pasted and I still can't get to my money.

Today i received the following e-mail from them:

"Hello from Amazon.

We are writing to let you know that we have blocked your Amazon selling account. You may no longer sell on our site.

We took this action because it has come to our attention that an excessive portion of your recent orders have been cancelled.

If you still have items to ship, please take appropriate steps to resolve your pending sales. Your Seller Account will remain accessible and you are encouraged to refund or ship pending orders.

Your funds are being reserved in your Amazon account for 90 days from the date of your final sale. After 90 days, the funds will be disbursed minus any A-to-Z Guarantee claims or charge-backs. If you have further questions about your funds please write to payments-funds at amazon

While we appreciate your interest, the blocking of your account is a permanent action. Any subsequent accounts will be blocked as well. Thank you for your understanding with our decision.

Regards,
Seller Performance Team
Amazon"

Do they have the right to hold my money this long? Even after sending a confirmation that it would reach my account before that date? I have no customer complaints filed against me and all orders have been filled. They are simply canceling me due to orders I choose to cancel instead of filling due to what I felt was faulty product. I decided to stop selling rather then get customer complaints.

What's the verdict can they legal keep my money?

Yes, they can. When you willingly enter into a contract with them you agree with the terms of the account and its maintenance. Many corporations are now taking action against what they consider chronic returners and people who cancel up to a certain number of orders due to costs associated with having to process the orders and then process again to cancel.

And to back this up, take a look at your contract terms. I'm willing to bet that the agreement provides them with the ability to do exactly what they did. Excessive returns not only costs them too much to do business but it is also a sign of high dissatisfaction and likelihood of fraud. I'm not accusing you of anything but that is the appearance to Amazon and likely reason for cancellation. Good luck to you.

I am having the same problem with them.

They have been keeping my money $4800.00 since Dec 4th of last year. They suspended my account for a Negative feedback. What the hell is going on with that company???? I have sold on Amazon for over 10 years and all of a sudden, this? No results from the arrogant customer service people, (who NEVER sign their name). Jeff Bezos stands to start to lose substancial business in the future. I just sold my amazon stock. Any company that does their loyal sellers that way, should be ashamsed of themselves. I won't buy anything from them ever again either!
I just called the banking commisioner in my state. They told me I have to go to the commisioner in the state they are located. ??? Washington or India!!!!

hi

i think its really not good on their part they can at least help us to withdraw our money.every dollar is important

Dont feel bad..they claim they are investigating me in the standard velocity thing. They said its not for feedback. I ship the day i get the order. No claims no cancellations,no returns. They say its about 30 days?
Amazon pays you about 2 times a month by deposite. My deposite was to be today. They are keeping all of my sales money since the last payday. 400.00. Tonight 2/13/2012 i get notice they are depositng 11.00 in my account? It is sad because i own the merchandise. I have to keep paying to ship everything out to their customers. They told me on the phone today that my next payday would be march 11th ? So they will hold all of my money until then ? With no interest? It feels like theft to me? The worst part is my childs ongoing medical costs and her appointments. She hasnt attended public school in over a year because she cant. I need my money to pay her doctors. Now i have to cancel all her appointments this week and for how long? This is frightening.. I dont see how this is legal?

You guys think that is bad? Dr. Oz mentioned one of my products on his show-- we sold nearly $720,000 worth in a matter of 2 weeks. I had to put out $200,000 of that out of pocket, paying USPS, paying for product to be quickly shipped.

Well I just got a notice from Amazon today saying that they would be holding onto $331,000 of my money for the NEXT 90 DAYS. I am OUTRAGED.

They really treat their sellers like shit. Customer service NEVER SIGNS THEIR NAME. You get some dope in India, Costa Rica, or Japan who doesn't even understand what you are trying to say. 90% of the time you get a canned response.

If you are pissed, email jeffb@amazon.com directly. Doesn't do much though. One of this lackies gets back to you and tells you that they are hush hush. Cloak and daggar treatment.

They're doing this to me right now! I sold something last Friday, then asked for a check. They said after 90 days, so I said fine, just put it on my credit card. Now their asking for banking information and a phone call; I told them I wanted financial privacy and they won't answer my emails anymore. Now my money is in "reserve" and they won't give me my money.

They cheat and steal. Never ever will buy or sell from Amazon again. I was even considering buying a Kindle because it was so cheap...always buy Samsung; better value and the best for the money.

I started short selling their stock today, made quite a bit. Enough for a new tablet, lol. I'm going to keep watching their numbers to dwindle, and short them when I can.

If they don't give my money by tomorrow, I'm going to file a BBB report...I recommend you do the same.

Is that legal what they are doing they closed my account 90 days aga 100 days pass still nothing I contacted them many times they send me an email after 2 weeks saying my account is under investigation I have to wait another 90 so that will be over 6 months they keeping my money! The way I see it now the big fish eats the small fish!

they just cancelled my account and want to hold my 1800.00 for 90 days. this is the last I deal with them, you will be able to see my comments on FB, twitter linked-in and many more, Iam writing the AG to see what we can do. along with the BBB and Consumer Affairs. This company trys to legally steal OUR MONEY. We have to get together and stop them we need power by numbers. I have all my amazon customers tele. No. and there private e-mails and I will be contacting them all and tell them that amazon has there payment noy me.

Can someone help me please?

I've been selling on Amazon for half of a year.

I found out that I can't login my account on July 27, 2012. I contact amazon customer support that morning, and I was told "It appears my account are on hold pending further research. This could be due to incorrect or incomplete billing information" and Account Specialist will email me within 24 hours. "

Later, no email, so I contact customer support again, and was told to wait another 24 hours. I email to that address several times, but no response.
I still have about $13k in my seller account and don't know how to get paid. Seem like amazon wants to get me off and take away my $13k.

Can someone help me out?

Everyone no more complaining, I am one like many of you whom have been abused by amazon. They are holding 1400.00 of my dollars right now. I came up with a site for us to come together and take action against amazon. Please come visit and sign in to join us in this endeavor.

Im just like you. Im busy working and paying bills and when Amazon pull this little stunt I felt completely powerless. So I took out of my personal free time to create this site. I really believe we can work together and overcome these abusive business practices. Please send this site to everyone you know. I interjected a little humor.
