Trademarking part of a name that may be used elsewhere

Say for example Microsoft has a trademark called Microsoft Dynamic Team. Can I trademark my company as Dynamic Team? Does that mean they own the term Dynamic Team? :(
 
They are two different names.........It is possible. You would do it and it would get approved if no one contests it. There are some ground which people can use to challenge it depending on what you are planning to use the name, and if it could affect the MDT own business in certain ways....or lead to confusion…….the law is complex...So expect anything.
