Life Insurance benificiary

Jurisdiction/Place:

My mother recently passed away. She was a senior citizen and a widow who lived with me. All she had was a small social security checking account which is now closed and a life insurance policy with me as her sole beneficiary. She had no will or Trust. She had some credit card debt with the cards being in her name only. Question: Can a collection agency take the money from this policy that is to paid to me as her beneficiary?
