What are the statute of limitations on attempted murder in Arizona?

I know someone who attempted to kill my father (now dead from other causes) and is now troubling my mother, thirty years later!

He left town for 10 years after the police were seeking him out for questioning but now he is back.

Good question. I don't know but believe that there is no statute of limitations on murder. There may not be one for attempted murder either. However, even if there is the statute may have been "tolled" or temporarily put on hold for various reasons, perhaps when the defendant leaves the jurisdiction. Unless there is compelling evidence, it will be difficult to prosecute a 10 year old case, especially when the victim is deceased.
