I recieved a 1099-C Cancellation of Debt form in the mail for about a $6,500 credit card debt, But they already have a judgement against me for it. My question is if i file it on my taxes as income like it says to do and I pay the taxes on it does that cancel the debt period and the judgement comes off and all since they arent collecting on it anymore??? Thanks for any info!!:confused:
